Pursue? Ha ha. The only thing I'm going to pursue is a cup of complimentary coffee in between discounted burritos.

Retired on duty used to be disparaged. Now it's just emulating the bosses. Hand out a couple cookies, talk about resilience and head for the house. The city can take care of itself now that everyone has the ability to carry a gun.

All of the experience is leaving as soon as they can. All that's going to be left are newer inexperienced officers and newly minted commanding officers. That combined with a new temporary pursuit policy is going to be a recipe for disaster. If the high ranking leadership would've taken positive steps years ago to keep morale high and stop running everyone off, instilled a tough on crime attitude within the department, and kept the much less restrictive pursuit policy that we already had years ago, then we probably wouldn't be in this situation at the moment.
