Let's see, who would speak up against the Chief? Judah? The guy who thinks the answer to effective policing resides in a text book. Bates? The guy who appears at roll call once in a while and other than that, you never see him. Schwab? The guy can't decide what to have for breakfast let alone make a command decision. Gregory? The same guy who will smile to your face and then stab you in the back. Face it, there is not a Major Rick McCubbin among them. There is not an "outstanding leader of men (men in the generic sense)" among them. All are unassuming, non threatening and are just plain average. It's not their fault. It's the type of alleged "leaders" Conrad wants. Can you imagine a Major Rick McCubbin in Conrad's wussified version of LMPD? Nope. We used to have leaders like that and what happened to them? They left. Who can blame them in todays politically correct spineless department. And yes, all the people I mentioned in my post I have worked for or with in one fashion or another and have gotten along very well with them all. They are all good people - just not "leaders of men."
