When there is something potentially embarrassing to Metro leadership, either the mayor or police Administration, they avoid anything that will bring public testimony. That means minimal penalties and quick didpositions for all. Her division leadership, command and the Training Unit allowed her to carry that light without anyone requiring training. They share the blame.
Look at the quick plea deal they did for the Explorer case. A few years in prison for what should have been about 20 to 30 years in prison. They didn't want anyone to know how LMPD and the past leaders of the FBI ignored that situation for all those years. Does "No reasonable prosecutor would take such a case" sound familiar?
That's how it works in Corruptibility City

Hardin's behavior was intentional and he deserved to be fired. Had he done that to my kid, I would be looking to show him what it feels like. Had my kid bucked up to him, I would deal with that also. I would be more than happy to use the same unauthorized choke hold on him to see if he likes it. He is no better than his sister, Queen De'borah Ca'Mel who was also fired for two false arrests.
