I hear people say every day how Fischer's going to win. Everyone's been conditioned to believe that after years of seeing bad Mayors get elected and re-elected simply because they checked "Democrat" on the election form. It may not happen this time. There is very little enthusiasm for Fischer outside of east end white middle class and upper class Democrats (his people). They put blinders on because he came from the right private high school and never fails to pay out of the city treasury for events,
