Louisville's homicides today should be multiplied by 2 or 3 to get the equivalent homicides from the 1960s. Modern medicine saves 2-3 times as many shooting victims as could be saved back then. 110 homicides today would have been like 220 to 330 back then. Ask any trauma surgeon familiar with the history of trauma medicine.

Reporters should ask for shooting data from back then versus now to get a better comparison.
