Jury hands demoted LMPD officer $300,000 verdict in case against city

Adam Edelen's state auditors found much more wrong in the rape kit scandal than anyone wanted or expected him to. Before it happened command tried to pretend they had good reasons for not processing them. Instead it was a total clusterf--k created by several generations of Officers, Civilians, Sgts, Lts, Majors and Lt Cols who got way in over their head when they took their cushy desk jobs supervising forensic evidence. It's a lot easier to escape criminal charges than to dodge them making the guilty parties look stupid.

I frankly don't trust the city to do it. It should be the state. Nobody working for Fischer can be trusted to tell the whole truth in an unbiased manner. Harvey proved that if it wasn't already obvious.
