He wants to go back to work for them because the 2nd lawsuit for retaliation and harassment will yield an even bigger judgement. He'd make too tempting of a target for any of those petty vindictive thin skinned cuckolded desk-bound paper tigers to pass up. There are people on LMPD who are walking lawsuits. People with a giant ego who think they only need to score a few more brownie points to become the next Chief.

Sue, baby, sue. LMPD is a cash cow. Milk it.

If any of them had an IQ over 85, they'd assign Harper to work at another agency until he's ready to retire. None of them are that smart.

He'll be a major one way or another. If not an LMPD Major, one day Councilman Harper will be a major pain in the administration's side. He's got a bipartisan positive public profile. He could even be Mayor if he plays his cards right. He's obviously better qualified than Fischer ever was or is today.
