Jury hands demoted LMPD officer $300,000 verdict in case against city

Guys like Bill Burch at the state lodge are trying to get concessions from Beshear, so the state lodge won't back or support that. They are hoping that if Beshear becomes Governor, they will get something from him down the road. Beshear is weak but will probably win.
