2 possibilities:

1. Thieneman takes enough votes from Leet to make her lose

2. He puts Fischer on blast so bad more Democrats stay home or vote for Leet than he takes away. She can play the well mannered alternative moderate.

The metro council's members being against Fischer will cause many to stay home. Leet is a very moderate female Republican so she could win using the Rebecca Jackson and Ann Northup formula.

I hope that's true but I don't see it. Large metropolitan cities almost never elect Republican leaders. The masses there would rather see high crime and corruption than a non democrat leader in office. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I will be.
