You are correct about leeches being in society since Biblical times. But you can't deny that the work ethic that was instilled in you and me while growing up as little kids is missing from todays world. Earning and working for what you have today is an ancient outdated concept that is laughed at by todays "gimme dat" mentality. Why should the able bodied lazy population be out working when all they have to do is sign up for welfare? How many times have you (if you're a police officer) locked somebody up and asked the prisoner what they do for a living and what is the typical response? "I get a check" or "I'm on disability (for whatever a bribed doctor can falsely diagnose)." Another oxygen thief taxpayers are footing the bill for. Welfare was originally designed as a stop gap measure to help people get back on their feet due to unforeseen circumstances. Today, it is a way of life handed down from generation to generation. Welfare moms instead of teaching their numerous kids about how to find jobs and fill out job applications are now teaching their kids how to go downtown and fill out the paperwork for welfare. Pretty soon, there will not be enough tax payers working to support all the welfarians.
