They won't release stats that could reveal what's actually happening. No stats on the average ages, years of service, stated reason for leaving, whether they retired, what department they went to or if they left law enforcement for a different career. They also don't reveal the clearance rates of the detective units, the numbers of stops, the numbers of felony warrants served or other measures of productivity. Command would prefer LMPD to be a black box and they the Wizards of Oz behind the curtain.
