LMPD shoots robbery suspect in the Portland neighborhood

I've been on the scenes of justifiable homicides. It happens. Usually victims aren't carrying a weapon or are taken by surprise by their attacker so they have no chance to defend themselves. If you're ever in that kind of situation, you would quickly gain an appreciation for the value of concealed carry in comparison with dying defenselessly.

If you talk to any lifelong criminal, the kind who'll be straight about it and consider it their career, they tell you they're more afraid of regular people having guns than police. They know police have guns but all they have to do is throw their hands up when they get caught. A victim tends to shoot them.

Armed citizen kills shooter who opened fire in Oklahoma restaurant

Oklahoma City Police said the gunman, who walked into Louie's Grill & Bar on the east side of Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, wounded at least four people.

"A bystander with a pistol confronted the shooter outside the restaurant and fatally shot him," Oklahoma police tweeted Thursday night.

The shooter was the only person who died in the incident. His identity was not confirmed as of Thursday night and his motive was unknown. Police said the incident is under investigation.
