Drunk driver who killed LMPD Detective and a Lexington man sentenced to prison

They were both a lot better than the present department but its most noticeable in the old city. There were 40 murders in all of LPD and JCPD's jurisdictions in 1989 under Chief Dotson. 1/3 the number of the last few years. Both departments had relatively high morale back then too.

New people must be extraordinarily dedicated to put up with having no pension, being subjected to more video monitoring than any inmate and watching the courts turn all the dangerous people you arrest loose and not being able to take off because of understaffing and excessive details for all the unnecessary road closures that could be avoided by moving them into a park somewhere.
