Purse snatcher incident was crap. Pursuit was good. Even ramming the vehicle was good. 30 cars involved and the blue wave pig pile was a joke. That incident is currently under investigation. Let's wait to debate that one.

I did a quick google search of Trent Marion with no real luck. You'll have to remind me of that one.

Sounds like this guy was a probationary officer and was already having some difficulties with his dept. The last straw was failure to act. It says it right there in the article,

"When Williams raised his gun, one of them "immediately shot Williams in the head, killing him."

He made the right decision to attempt to deescalate the situation up until the subject raised his gun. At that point he put himself and everyone else on scene in danger.

Was this suicide by cop? Sounds like it. Am I going to bet my life and my partners life on it? No. And yes, I'm aware the run stated the gun was unloaded. I'm also not betting my life or my partners life on that.

But ultimately I don't know if the guy should or shouldn't have been fired based on a few hundreds words that were written. I wasn't there. But at face value of the article I can see how they came to the conclusion to fire him.
