Wrong. Go tell your PTO, academy instructor and Sgt they failed in training you. The county attorney would most likely send out a summons or do nothing since it's a trivial amount of money. There is a legal concept called "De Minimis Non Curat Lex". Judges don't like wasting time on bulls--t like a toothbrush charge.
