Nope, not young at all. This proves it:

Used to do my own "blue forms" which were actually blue.

My subpoenas used to be handed to me in roll call by my sergeant.

I used to record my subpoenas in a Toohey's Auto calendar book.

My car radio used to actually work and I drove a "tank".

I remember not going to court on felonies because I just didn't feel like it

(would get a continued subpoena with no problems).

EMS used to serve MIWs and call us only if they needed us.

I wore a white military stripe on the outside of my Class A pants.

I could run a "Rolling Stolen" on my main channel.

I used to switch to channel 5 to coordinate police action with platoon.

The alert tones would start as soon as a hot run came out and continued until a car went on scene.

I remember when there was an Intelligence Unit, a Burglary Squad, and there was not Missing Persons Squad. There was Physical Assault Unit and Internal Affairs. No PIU but officers were still held criminally accountable for stuff.

The memories made you smile, didn't it?
