A leader, not a politician

A direct, no-nonsense Chief. Not a politician, which is what ultimately led to his removal as Chief by an controlling and insecure mayor.

He told you what you needed to hear, whether you wanted to hear it or not. He would rip your a$$ if needed, but would be there for you whenever he was needed. Something we are sorely lacking these days.

I will miss the man I knew as a person and a leader.
