It makes the department looks horrible that officers are refusing to provide information on child molesters. I don't blame citizens for not trusting LMPD. Homicide should remember that next time they want to scold an entire community for not informing on shooters. It's easy to say that when you live in an expensive house in a low-crime east end neighborhood. Those who knew about the abuse and didn't report it should lose their pensions.
