It doesn't matter to some who's Mayor, Chief, Sheriff, Judge or prosecutor until their wife gets raped on her way home from the grocery. Then it suddenly matters. People falsely assume that their part of town or their county is immune. Look at any really high crime city, which Louisville has recently become. The worst of the criminals pick apart the rich white neighborhoods doing home invasions or worse. Enjoy your sheltered existence while it lasts.
