If he's saying they don't do drug cases, that's complete horsesh-t. They are indeed a city-wide flex unit, and there is overlap, but there's never been a way to avoid overlap where drug cases were concerned. In bigger cities there's usually lots of case de-confliction that must occur every day because many different units and departments are running separate cases. There's often more of a spectrum of activity between centralized narc units and the flex-like units, rather than a clear division. A
