He's not well known to the general public and would have a hard time against someone having support in political circles. He's likely to be on the short list for LMPD Chief when Conrad resigns if Fischer is doing the picking. I doubt he'd turn down a $200,000 per year job to take or keep a much lower paying Sheriff position. They could go ahead and change their name to Louisville Special Events Department if that happens. Everyone loves a parade.
