LMPD :: Louisville Metro Police Department

It's the natural result of the anti-police climate, the decreased prestige of the job, the cutting pay through inflation and getting rid of 20 year retirement. The poor raises since merger alone have led to a 25% cut in salary by not keeping up with inflation. The department competes with cities like Indy who offer $65,000 after 3 years on with a big pension like the old CERS Hazardous. People can work at a smalle department other than LMPD and Lexington to avoid the liberal political harassment.
