People like you can complain all you want about the old city and brag about the rainbow coalition diversity festivals that the current command thinks is important, but remember one thing. The only thing that matters to the general public is that they aren't getting victimized and aren't afraid of walking the streets. They couldn't care less about your petty grievances. LMPD is not being led or trained in a manner to keep the violence under control like they did back then. LMPD got a Chief who should have been hired somewhere like Prospect or Anchorage instead. It has not worked out and this department is just sinking deeper in the quicksand as people bolt for the door.
