The Attorney General previously ruled in 00-ORD-137 and several other open records decisions that past employment information and educational qualifications in a job application must be released. Nothing else from an application for employment is releasable under the open records law, like address, social security number, marital status, etc. He should get a copy of whatever they released and give it to his lawyer.
