Shepherdsville Police is taking applications for laterals:

The Shepherdsville Police Department will be accepting applications for the Police Officer - Lateral Transfer POPS Certified Officers, must have certification for not less than 3 years. Applications may be picked up from July 19, 2017 through August 11, 2017 at the Shepherdsville Police Department, 634 Conestoga Parkway, Shepherdsville, Kentucky, or at www.sheppolice.com. Applicants must be 21 years of age, H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. Must not have been convicted of a felony or have any criminal action actively being prosecuted. Misdemeanor convictions will be considered on an individual basis. Filing deadline is at the close of business on August 11, 2017. EOE

Lateral officers are hired in to a pay scale of up to 10 years of service and starting salaries will range between $48,548.80 and $52,166.40 annually prior to incentives. Pay incentives include college education, on-call pay and KLEPF.
