They're not fooling people anymore. Even people in places far from the west end like Schnitzelburg and the Highlands are telling reporters on TV their neighborhoods have taken a major turn for the worse. They used to have flex units to call, but now they only have patrol officers who just tell them to take out a warrant if they have a problem.
Eventually these chickens will come home to roost for the Mayor, probably at the ballot box since the metro council obviously either has no real power or will to do anything.
Whoever runs against Fischer next year will be said to score a major upset by the media. In reality, it will merely take someone having a pulse and a very minor amount of charisma and qualifications to defeat him due to his poor record on crime control.
