The Chief, Mayor and other politicians got those misinformed theories from liberal college professors. The professors talk about community policing and problem solving without ever providing a definition of what that includes. They say more police can't cut crime, but have never shown 1 shred of evidence that anything they've proposed cuts crime.

When NYPD began doing stop and frisk and broken-windows policing, murders dropped by 80%. The liberal professors all try to explain that away with more of their wild theories, but the fact remains that those proactive policies saved many thousands of lives. Watching people drop dead and talking about broader social ills at community meetings isn't a solution either. We can politic our way out of this problem.

All Google will do is help people find past news articles about imaginary gang task forces like Operation Trust and LMINTEL that sound suspiciously similar to the new imaginary task forces being announced on TV every year. For example, Google will let you find out they haven't announced a single arrest since their debut warrant service roundup in January.

Apparently the sarcasm was too discrete. I realize "next free toy" ideas don't work. I've seen the ice cream truck ideaology completely fail. Giving stuff away, including the internet, will never affect the crime rates. If we keep it up this was, our grandchildren will read about how the global warming issues are actually caused by all of the balloon releases. That has to be creating pollution that will block ozone and sun shine
