LMPD officer suspended for Facebook posts sues chief claiming free speech violation

LMPD has no business showing solidarity with any group. LMPD is a public safety organization serving all the citizens funded by all taxpayers. As pointed out in other posts no group, organization, religion or other interests has any business being displayed on LMPD vehicles. It is offensive to citizens who don't believe in the gay lifestyle just as it would be offensive to others if "In God We Trust" was a slogan on the sides of the LMPD cruiser or any other government vehicle. This was a poor decision further dividing people by a government that is supposed to be neutral and serving all.
