There was a reason people didn't shed any tears 12 years ago when Conrad left. He was an administrative Sgt in a unit that people wondered what they even did. Then former Mayor for Life Jerry Abramson saw his potential as a politician-pleasing deskbound bureaucrat eager to play political games to make up for his lack of law enforcement abilities and potential.

Louisville's politicians didn't notice him until the naive ideas about policing he got from the Mayor, anti-police activists and his college professor friends led to murders doubling in a few short years. Mayor for Life Jerry had all the same ideas, but the Captains running the city had the ability to ignore horrible politically-driven demands because they had civil service protection. If you fired one, you could only replace them with another civil service captain. Now they're all on pins and needles wondering who'll be publicly demoted on TV by the Chief next, doing whatever stupid thing he wants to please this incompetent tyrant.

Who would be better placed to inform on the department's investigations into this kind of crime than an administrative Sergeant working in the intel unit? Not many people indeed.

its all about making Louisville the biggest gay vacation spot in the states. I hear that pride decals are going to be put on all cars before the end of the year.
