Personally I would like to thank the chief for getting angry at his press conference. He reminded us that he "appoints" the majors. This reminds us there is no merit to their having achieved these positions. In fact it helps remind us that to become a sergeant you take a test. To become a lieutenant you take another test. At no time in this process is their competence as a police office taken into consideration. And once promoted they are damn near impossible to demote and the incompetence is rewarded
