The same applies to patrol except there's nowhere to bust them back to except a suspension or unwanted details until they straighten themselves out. Lts and Major should be working the same shifts as those they lead. There should be Lts working peak hours overnight and the Major should spend about 1/3 of their time working nights too. You lead by example or you're not leading at all, just taking a paycheck for services never rendered. Pinning on rank and signing forms every day is not leading.
