30 officers in a terminated pursuit delayed from returning to their beats because of a fire scene ahead and 1-way traffic behind. Like the Chief said yesterday, the citizens will have to take more responsibility for reducing crime. Someone should start teaching hoodrats how to take reports.

I've investigated the details surrounding this video thoroughly. I have conclusively determined that it is a propaganda piece being distributed by the Alt-Right, Republican establishment. I know this video is fake because it appears to have been made on a Tuesday night and all of the individuals depicted would have had to be up early for work the next morning.

Welcome to Drive-by City. This should get interesting this summer. This weak hugs-and-kisses law enforcement in high crime areas will one day lead to national guard troops being put in the west end. Then everyone in charge today will be marked forever as a failure.

Drive by shooting at 22nd and Greenwood at 6:30pm Monday night. The suspects later crashed into a car with a mother and her 2 children. http://www.wlky.com/article/three-people-are-in-custody-after-a-drive-by-shooting-in-a-louisville-neighborhood/9623494

KSP: $1.5 million in heroin found during vehicle inspection

EDDYVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - A traffic stop in western Kentucky led to police seizing more than $1 million in heroin. Troopers with Kentucky State Police Post 1 stopped a tractor trailer on May 8 in Lyon County. The Troopers were conducting a commercial vehicle inspection. During the stop, KSP said a small amount of heroin was found on one of two people inside the semi. More searching led troopers to a large amount of heroin: 33 pounds, which KSP said has a street value of roughly $1.5 million. The driver, Roberto Orozco, 29, and the passenger, Alberto Leal-Martinex, 50, both of Utah, were each charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Heroin. The charge is a felony. KSP did not say where the driver came from.

Hint: In addition to heroin and people hanging from bridges, this country is also known for tacos, piñatas, and tequila.

This armed robber and felon was rampaging through the east end for 6 months before someone finally caught up with him. Conrad disbanded the only unit that would have gone after him in the east end, which was their division flex unit. JCSO, 9th Mobile, and Major Crimes all failed to do their jobs in miserable fashion.

I do believe WFPL just called ******** on Steve Conrad

"Downplaying deadly events like homicides and shootings can cut at the bond between police and the community, said Christina Greer, a political science professor at Fordham University. "It's disingenuous to say crime is down when violent crime is up," she said. "I think that is sending a very explicit message to the communities that are affected that they don't matter."

Keeping traumatic issues such as murders away from the forefront of public conversations on crime can often lead to negative -- if unintentional -- consequences in communities most affected by violence, said Jayme Simoes, president of Louis Karno and Company and an expert in media relations and crisis communication.

"It's always important to look at the whole truth," he said. "Be openhanded and talk to people about what's really going on."

Still, parsing data -- especially crime data -- to fit a certain narrative is not uncommon in politics. Greer, from Fordham University, said to highlight a rise in violent crime would be like confessing a deficit in leadership. "It's politically advantageous for elected officials to say crime is down," she said. "Realities can be hidden within a narrative."

I had a dream last night Donald Trump died in a fiery plane crash. His body was burned so badly his dentures were melted into his jawbone and his corpse was blackened and smoldering. He was completely bald with a singed skull devoid of ears or nose. It was a sad dream. Glad it ain't true.

Dr. Jones

May 12th, 2017 @ 12:17AM (7 years ago)

To those hoping the chief is in trouble, look no further than this appointment. Dr. Jones' ascension to the accountability committee should serve as a reminder that Mayor Fisher still holds sway over the levers of power in the governmental apparatus known as metro. As such, he has expressed confidence in the chief and the debate is over except amongst ourselves. This is the time we need to unite as a collective unit, put aside the petty disputes such as who is making runs on what beats or I agree with so and so and won't interact with you for that reason and stand together. Show up for work, runs and details to take care of each other as we all deserve to go home in the same condition we showed up in that morning. In a separate post, I read a comment that we should not be worried about Dr. Jones' appointment as the described committee has no subpoena power. His appointment gives him the power of the press and prestige of conformation. Brothers and sisters, he is an advocate of the power of subpoena for the committee and will most likely use his new position as an extended soap box. Having been around long enough to remember a time before such a committee, one of the early sticking points to the formation of the oversight committee was whether or not to grant subpoena powers. At that time numerous arguments were raised on behalf of us and how it would affect morale, disenfranchise officers and generally deter proactive enforcement if we were subjected to yet another level of judgement as examples. Fast forward to today. Dr. Jones' appointment, as the mayor would put it, "is a slap in the face." But not to the department as claimed by opponents or to the department if not approved as the mayor claims. No, it is to the individuals that make up the department. As an officer doing your best on a call for service if something should go wrong in a split second god forbid, you will now have an additional layer of scrutiny from an individual who has a clear agenda and will most likely "leak" information to the ever compliant media. As of now, the committee has only review powers of a completed investigation to recommend changes for the next one. This is readily available via open records requests subject to allowed exceptions. I foresee Dr. Jones using that access to publicly over emphasize points that fit his agenda while attempting to influence any current investigations he may be privileged to as a result of his position. As a proof of concept, his immediate claim that opposition to him was racist gives insight into his core beliefs and as such predicts his course of conduct once given access despite his claims to the contrary. After all, actions speak louder than words. Should he get subpoena powers, there is no foreseeable limit with his backing by the Mayor and apparent rubber stamp of the Metro Council. While I do not advocate NOT doing your job, I do advocate being smart about it. Use this as a clarion call locally and on a statewide basis for if this starts in Louisville, how far behind is Lexington and any surrounding counties as it has started to progress in Jefferson County? Far to long have we been divided by petty differences along departmental lines both internal and external while our brethren have suffered being dragged through the mud so to speak while the powers that be failed to stand tall because of potential offense to a political group.I will give credit to President Mutchler on this one. Thanks for putting up viable defense. Just don't quit now or here. In conclusion, an officer now faces potential investigations from PIU, Commonwealth Attorney, PSU, court of public opinion, and now Dr. Ricky Jones for reacting to a person's actions or noncompliance.

The conservative, pro-life movement is going about this all wrong. They need to take a page from the progressive liberal, social justice warrior playbook and start occupying buildings at college campuses and issue out a random list of ridiculous demands. That's how you get your message heard and your demands met without getting arrested.

http://www.dailywire.com/news/16357/exclusive-radical-professor-calls-abolition-police-jeffrey-cawood

"Dr.Angela Davis - a 1960s radical associated with the Black Panthers and Communist Party - headlined a private event in Los Angeles last month where she joined Black Lives Matter leaders in advocating for the abolition of police, prisons, and capitalism."

At the time, Davis herself was incarcerated on charges of murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy in connection with the shooting deaths of four people in California - including a judge. An international "Free Angela Davis" campaign ensued. As the New York Times reported on January 31, 1971:

(Background to the 1971 story) "A State Senator whose wife was shot two weeks ago in an attempted kidnapping plot said this week that two young black men involved had planned to demand ransom and to attempt a trade of their victims for Angela Davis, the black militant accused of murder in California."

More than 45 years later, Davis still has the allegiance of black revolutionaries, who have latched on to her concept of abolition she revived not long ago. In 1997, Davis co-founded Critical Resistance, an organization created to challenge "the idea that imprisonment and policing are a solution for social, political, and economic problems."

"The push to create a civilian panel began amid revelations of widespread abuses in the county jails and has gained new currency as national attention has been focused on police use of force and relationships between law enforcement and minority communities last year."

-This story sound quite similar to the Mayor's citizen commission on police accountability. Imagine a radical and openly avowed communist, whose victim of political assassination was chosen on the basis of race now wants sits in judgement of police officers and calls for the outright abolition of law enforcement agencies. This is the goal and end game of the movement and it is off to a strong beginning right here in possibility city.

Chuck Norris Says He Would Accept FBI Director Position

Superstar Chuck Norris wants everyone to know he's not looking for a job, but if President Trump, whom he supported for president in 2016, wants him to replace James Comey as FBI director, he's ready, willing and available. While promoting his new bottled water in Utah this weekend, Norris said: "If someone has to clean it up, and it has to be me, I'll take the job." Fans were keen on the idea of Norris taking over the FBI. One said, "We need to get him in to Washington! I think he would clean it up. I think he's the man for the job."

Trying to lateral to LMPD

May 16th, 2017 @ 10:09AM (7 years ago)

I currently work for JCSO. But I'm trying to Lateral to LMPD. One officer told me that, I shouldn't have to go to an academy. And I will only have to do in house training. Is that true? Because I refuse to go through another academy in Kentucky. Im just tired of sitting in a courthouse. I would stay at the sheriff office. If it becomes a full service department. But I doubt that will ever happen.

People are starting to complain about all the O.T. for homicide cases. There is a better way to manage homicides than how it's done here. Milwaukee uses teams divided across 3 shifts to solve homicides so nobody's doing an O.T. marathon. Their clearance rate has always been higher than the national average using that method. Over-worked and over-fatigued Detectives tend to miss things more often than those who aren't.

Who would have ever guessed that a thug from the 31W Shooting Gallery would have driven all the way to Fern Creek to blast somebody? Surging west end violence has already gone south and will certainly be going east more often. They know that's where the people with the money are and a synthetic heroin addict needs to get high every couple hours. Bad habits like that require money they don't have. East end liberals will have something more than looking fat in yoga pants to worry about.

LMPD is spending $1.2 million per year on the shot spotter system that other cities say is nearly useless in making arrests for violent crimes. That's the same amount as the full pay, benefits, and pension payments for 10 officers working on a flex platoon that the Chief disbanded. The kicker is that it only covers 6 square miles and can't be moved without spending lots more money.

A police officer almost died when he came into contact with the synthetic opioid fentanyl during a routine traffic stop. Patrolman Chris Green followed protocol when he searched the vehicle, its seats speckled with white powder. He used latex gloves -- but he took them off when he frisked the driver. Back at the police station Green found residue on his uniform and, without thinking, dusted it off with his bare hands. That mistake caused him to overdose. It took four shots of Narcan to bring him back to life.

The HQ building is worth less than some heroin dens and crack houses thanks to the city being too incompetent to properly maintain its facilities. Why would anyone give Fischer and his cronies another dime to buy buildings they can't even manage? The people responsible for should be fired immediately for costing the city the use of millions of dollars worth of real estate.

"Police headquarters is valued at $436,800, according to county property records. City officials said the land worth around 426,000 whereas the building itself is valued at roughly $10,000."
