I see your logic, but 2 months for the entire hiring process seems pretty ambitious. If it seems like less-than-desirable hires are coming on board currently, what would happen if there's even less time for the vetting process? 8 weeks doesn't leave much time for proper background investigations; not to mention all the other procedures that need to be scheduled and implemented (written testing, physicals, mental evals, stress-testing, polygraph...)
