Louisville Metro Council members frustrated with lack of answers from LMPD about hiring officers

Bowling Green's starting salary for recruits is $5200 more per year than LMPD. KSP pays recruits $2500 per year more to live in the country where it's much cheaper. Indianapolis pays $15,000 per year more than LMPD for officers with a couple years on. Those 1% and 2% raises have not allowed LMPD to stay competitive since merger.

Then there's having to work for people who have no idea what they're doing.
