The video is sh11ty but his not firing could be due to potential for crossfire or being too far out of his range to place an accurate shot. They would need more than the video to know for sure. If you know someone's in a field or woods with a gun and you have a rifle, then bring your rifle. Most officers who haven't been SWAT or in military combat arms can't shoot very well past 25 yards in real-world situations.

Why can't you all just leave the petty bullshît out of this. Two officers did what they had to do and went home at the end of their shift to the people they loved. You would think that lesson would be especially important after the past couple of days. Good job Anchorage PD. What happened to you is a reminder to everyone that wears a badge and uniform that bad things can happen anywhere and it only takes a heartbeat for your life to turn to shît.

As a proud retired member of the APD I say great job guys! To the individual who posted the original comment I ask only one question. Were you there? Didn't think so.... Could it be that Officer Taylor didnt have a clear view. Or maybe a possible cross-fire situation. Don't know, wasn't there. Once again great job guys, glad you both went home safe and the fine residence of Anchorage can sleep sound. Which is what they pay for.
