For anyone to care, they'd have to know who Yarmuth even in, which few in Louisville do. Unnecessarily creating hostility with an incoming President isn't in the best interest of the citizens of Louisville. By not showing up, both Fischer and Yarmuth are both putting partisan national politics ahead of the best interests of the people of Louisville. This city is broke, has a skyrocketing homicide rate and needs all the help it can get. Making Trump mad will just make that worse.
