Shutting down units with problem officers seems to be this administration's answer to everything, as seen with Viper, flex platoons, the airport interdiction unit and now the explorers. It's a lot easier than cleaning up the mess to make LMPD a functioning full-service police department again. If it's really that bad, how hard would it have been to recruit new people from the patrol divisions to take over? These are not bright people in charge. http://www.whas11.com/news/local/current-explorers-express-support-for-program/422309638
