Crime is up in Denver too. LMPD's former Chief and the current Chief are having a lot of the same problems because they have a lot of the same ideas. You can't "community cop" your way out of a heroin-fueled crime surge.
"Denver violent crimes are up this year over the same time period last year. Denver has had an average of 334.0 violent crimes per month. In 2015, Denver averaged 245.2 per month"
