What the pundits, lawyers, politicians and politician-police downtown want has never changed anything for me. Every time they step over the line trying to mess with officers and go to court or the merit board, they lose. This administration's policing strategy, if you can even call it that, is a total failure. You can't stop crime encourage police to live the slug life because it just increases the thug life.

Taking criminals off the street is also an act of self preservation for police. Consider the number of officers across the country shot while just sitting in their vehicles. You put them in jail as often as possible so they can't kill you or someone else.
