Louisville police officer killed by alleged drunk driver in Lexington

Republicans have won countywide races for Judge-Executive and Sheriff in the past. There's also a good chance of another Democrat who thinks public safety matters being able to beat Fischer. His qualifications aren't that impressive even after years in office. The problem is so few truly qualified people want to get involved in Louisville politics full-time or they can't accord to take a job paying less than a junior executive.

Replacing Conrad won't fix anything because the guy in charge is Fischer and he will just pick another person just like him.
