To me it sounds like 1) you didn't do well on the interview 2) you are one of the idiots who NEVER hit a lick 3) they saw you're not so great police experience and didn't want you up there. Speeding tickets don't get grand jury dates so you wouldn't know what it's like to sit through several weeks of trial. All while keeping the same case load. Until you walk in the shoes of a homicide detective shut your mouth. You're probably the same officer who at inservice and talks about that one DUI trial
