Walmart won't help their jobs situation. They need another WPA like in the great depression because the west end has the same amount of unemployment that America had in the great depression. All these ideas that have been proposed, like walmarts and some industrial jobs, have been bandaid solutions. The violent crime will never go down until they're convinced that there's a 100% chance they'll go away if they get caught selling dope and there is a manual labor job paying $30,000 they can have. Neither will happen anytime soon. This city and this country is just getting worse economically every year.
