I'm not "Cricket" but policing isn't surgery. Nobody is ever going to take that perspective seriously except other police. It's 80% common sense and 20% training, and people will ALWAYS question why police do things, so get used to that if you haven't already. Other departments' cameras manage to keep the proper field of view. If you're going to blow money on cameras that could have been spent on raises, then at least get some that work.

Most criminals know that if they approach an officer with a bladed weapon, then are going to get shot. That guy was obviously mentally disturbed, trying to do suicide by cop or maybe wanted to take somebody with him to the grave. It shouldn't take a 6 or 12 month investigation to figure that out.
