LMPD officers shoot and kill armed man in southwest Louisville

COs are responsible for deciding what information is given to the media. SOP says they can release name, age, charges, and arrest slip narrative. They aren't even doing that anymore and rarely give descriptions of wanted suspects even if it will help catch them. This is what happens when you put career patrol and administrative people in charge of investigations. Community meetings and traffic details are what they know.

Who cares what color anyone is.the dude raised his weapon of choice and did not comply. He went down.. It's a terrible thing , it would not matter if the guy was chinese or from shively . First thing everyone wants to do is bring the race card into it.

Hard to beat that eye witness account. Glad all officers are okay. Unfortunate incident.

Remember that any cusswords you use on released body cam video will be quoted by WDRB's Jason Riley on social media in the hours after the shooting. He is a real class act.

Here is my issue with the body cam video. The officer driving in his car the camera view was straight forward,yet when out of the cars it shows the ground. What use are the cameras if they don't show what is happening? It leaves for speculation!

Hello all . This talk about white on black crime is getting out of control. No one is oppressing you, or your families, etc. Just like white people can be trashy...black people can be over dramatic. LOUD, and for the men....DISRESPECTFUL to women . You cant even go to a gas station anymore without a person begging repeatedly, someone opening your car door, selling dope out in the open , talking like complete fools and the damn Whining !! I am a white female who works myself to the bone in every aspect and I have had a hard life that I changed for the better on my own without using the crutch many people do. Ive seen white on white, black on black , black on white, hispanic on white, white on hispanic, etc...ya get the point. I have no respect for blacks that complain and get on the t.v saying how everyone is out to get them and they get looked at and treated unfairly....I have a huge suggestion !! Pull your pants up, have respect for people; no matter the color of their skin, stop using the police and government as a negative crutch, stop dealing illegal substances and get job or 2 ... hell maybe 3. I know some wonderful people that are black, are well respected, did well in their lives despite the horrid things they dealt with growing up. STOP BLAMING WHITE PEOPLE AND THE POLICE THAT ARE PUTTING THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE TO KEEP THINGS SAFE ALL AROUND. We are all children of GOD and are supposed to love one another, but I guess just because our skin colors are different ..we white folks must be evil no good racist crackers. GROW UP. Everyone has a chance in life to turn their lives around and for petes sake if you dont do it for yourself... do it for the ones who love you, your families and friends, your children(OUR FUTURE,WHITE&BLACK), your soul, and have some respect. I believe in ONE LOVE. Everyone needs to open their eyes and hearts and realize this is just a small problem in this world compared to people in other countries that have to live in horrid conditions, yet still remain humble. You have to give respect to earn it, and do unto others as they would do unto yet. turn the other cheek and walk away from the negativity and stigmas. If you work at what you want and believe, you can witness miracles and all the beauty and positive vibes that are clouded by smog and darkness will fade away.

ALL LIVES MATTER. Stop blaming police, and whateve and whoever you are blaming. Instead of assuming all police, and other agenicies are out to get you. Police come after whites as well , been there and done that. Did I remain the way I was and blame a certain race or anyone, or people that had nothing to do with my situations? NO! I had faith and worked hard all by myself to get to where I am today, and am proud to say I didnt blame law enforcement who are just doing the jobs to keep things safe and to support their familes as well as keep others safe. I pray everyday for every being in this world and hope maturity catches on...even if it happens a bit at a time.
