How do we get a handle on crime in Louisville?
1. The chief and city leaders walk the streets and meet people in the crime ridden parts of the city.
2. The mayor should appoint a neighborhood violence coordinator to come up with programs to reduce violence. He should be paid around 75,000.00.
3. Purchase numerous cameras to be placed around the riverfront area.
4. Bring all the gang leaders in for a meeting with the chief so that they understand we won't tolerate violence.
5. Hold a meeting with BLM and get a feel for their concerns.
6. Hold candle light gatherings decrying violence.
7. Put all officers on 12 hour shifts to saturate high crime areas.
8. Continue to support the judicial and corrections system for their innovative thinking and hard stance on offenders.
9. Provide free internet and wifi service in high crime areas.
10. Build more bike lanes to encourage hassle free travel.
11. Encourage JCPS to revise the student conduct code to be compassionate when wayward youth and young adults break the law and never suspend a student no matter what the infraction is.
12. Keep the current juvenile criminal code as is so young children are not accountable for their behavior.
