Enjoy all the pomp and circumstance...
About two years from now somebody will recognize his name again. Someone will remind them he was the loser who shot the officer back in 2016. We have seen this line before. A henious crime, a community outraged, a fleeing felon, an extradition, a media frenzy, a conviction, and then BAM!!! He's out of prison to commit another crime and everyone wonders "How is he even out?"

Why is anyone surprised that nobody wants to work here? It's not hard to figure out why.
2003: starting pay of $33,596 plus $3100 from KLEPF, retire in 20 years at 50% of high-3.
2016: Starting salary $36,920, $3100 KLEPF, retire whenever you save enough money.
While inflation rose 30%, LMPD starting salary only rose 9%, and they don't offer a real retirement anymore. Louisville doesn't value police and the FOP is only good for keeping troubled people from getting fired.
