St. Matthews police officer sues department over training injury |
RE: St. Matthews police officer sues department over training...
Recruit school sometimes exaggerates to motivate the people who take the job for the paycheck or because they want to be the Chief so they take the physical aspects seriously. Talking people down sometimes works, but sometimes it will never work. It all just depends. The inclination of some people to blame all officers for fights or shootings shows those people to have a bigoted mindset. The person who said earlier that it's untrue that every officer will be in a fight in their careers is living in some other world. There may be a few beats in the wealthy million dollar home neighborhoods where you could go years without having a serious run-in. If they ever worked a beat with actual felony violent crime they'd have a clue. People are more likely to assault police today than ever before and the national shooting statistics prove it. The criminal class has decided its open season on cops because so many politicians are backing in the media.
