I, for one am greatful to the Jefferson County Public School system. Without forced bussing, this excellent educational experience of a learning environment immersion program and guided tour of the criminal justice system would not be possible.

People leaving the crime scene unit left and right... 3 in past few months... The BOSSES SUCK.... The shifts suck.... The vehicles suck... the way they are treated sucks.. the pay sucks... well thats the LMPD WAY!

I remember the days when 2 or 3 officers would have been expected to handle 1 guy on their own. That's back before metal flashlights were deemed too dangerous to carry and the department turned into mostly idle chicken littles.

So, did Lt. S really send a photo of his junk to Lt. H. And was a department phone used?

The sad part of this is that every officer should be aware that we will be in a fight at some point. And that fight may be for our life, or the lives of others, If we don't train to fight, we won't be able to fight like we trained. I hope the officer involved in this is able to heal, however I think his suit only has limited merit, and can be successfully fought in the courts.

I do not know the officer, however feel that any officer who does not understand risk that come with our calling and profession may need to seek other professional opportunities.

LMPD finally fixes this mess after more than a decade of not doing its job. Maybe 1 day post-merge Louisville will get back into the ranks of being a professional police department, but not anytime soon.

Kinda knew something like this would happen someday. I hope he gets a multimillion dollar settlement. Too many MMA wannabes who are allowed to take over the training roles. These wannabes don't really want to compete with other MMA fighters. They just want to show off their "skills" to other police officers. This will be a game changer after St. Matthews pays out the wazoo. I hope LMPD is taking notice!
