It's possible to have centralized accountability and planning without physically locating everyone in the same building, but it's not happening. They seem to think the "operation" is going to do it all, but drug-related crime in Louisville is not a manpower priority for their partner agencies Crime is still a lot worse in other cities and they don't have that many people to begin with. I won't describe all the things they need to do, except hire a Lt. Col. Chief of Detectives with big city crime fighting leadership experience. Experience at leading reactive investigations, patrol, community relations or administrative services alone won't help. They don't have the right mix of leaders right now.
