Behind the badge: Officers under attack

Divisions do get the majority of the high way safety money. 8 divisions get around 8-10 grand every year. There are division cars that are out doing dui grant OT. The traffic LT sends out emails all the time begging for people to work UL games. The opportunities are there. Check your emails.

Traffic guys go through a pretty tough school to be able to reconstruct an accident scene. They do some type of class to be able to do DOT inspections. There are apparently grants that deal just with DOT stuff that no other officers can do. With all due respect either sign up for some of this or apply to the unit. Ron Fey obviously works his *** off to better himself. No one should dog the man for doing that. Traffic work isn't for everyone obviously but none of us should bash them for what they do. Every officer on this department has a job and we all should try to respect what he others do.

With all that is going on in this world the last thing any of us should be doing is ostracizing our brother officers. JMO
